Additional Comments: Response 10/5/2014:

Thank you Bob,
I will be focused on demilitarization of police, and increasing money in circulation for the working people so the economy has an opportunity to find peace. I will introduce a plan to hold the gun manufacturers liable for the harm their products create in much the same fashion as the tobacco companies. I have heard that background checks reduce domestic violence on women partners, and that is of course important. I do not want to infringe on the second amendment, and in fact, I do not like the government disarming the people, while concurrently subjecting them to economic warfare, so this is a sticky situation. The economy is driving people to depression, and the drugs are making people volatile, big pharma and the prison industries are just fine with all of that.

I would have to look very closely at the claim that background checks reduce domestic violence, and numbers of data banks related to that claim. I don't own a gun, and I do not live by the gun, nor does violence excite me. I see, however, that we should not lay down our means of self defense for reasons already stated, I am seeing what amounts to a standing army against the people, by corporate government. Now that they have mobilized the National Guard for foreign involvement, I believe we need to either stand up for an end to that, or make certain that Vermont has the equivalent replacement guard that is not serving a duel role.

Until that time we are not as safe as I would like us to be, not as prepared as I want us to be, we need to expand our food production dramatically. You will see why as the future unfolds.

If you have the numbers regarding the domestic violence rates with or without background checks, do send them on.

Thank you for asking. As a State we need to pull together, I intend to encourage that with numerous policies, our government has been violent towards the people it should serve. I want to stop that. That is my focus.

Emily
