2014: 2nd Amendment Stance, Legislative Action and Voting History:
Sponsored: H.706 (bad)
Voted NAY on H.735 (GOOD)

Additional Comments: Senator Keenan voted NAY on H.735 after being contacted by GOV in May.
She was unaware that H.735 contained new gun control legislation at that time.
After the details were presented to her, her response on May 12 was "I did vote no on the fee bill!"
2016 Voted AGAINST anti-gun S.141 !

2013-14: Sponsored H.0706 (BAD): Prohibiting the possession of firearms and other dangerous or deadly weapons on any school property, which includes knives, baseball bats, metal rods, axes, etc, would have TWO MAJOR EFFECTS:
1. The right of every Vermonter to carry a firearm or other weapon for self defense will be outlawed.
Parents could not pick up or drop off their children at school, administrators and teachers will likewise be prohibited from travelling to and from their job while protected.
NO ONE WILL BE ARMED WHEN THE NEXT KILLER WALKS BY THE "GUN-FREE ZONE" SIGN...
This is a VERY BAD procident to set.
2. Hunting in the State of Vermont will virtually cease.
THOUSANDS of acres of hunting land are "owned" by schools and colleges in Vermont.
Travelling by, or near a school will become illegal for any road crews that carry dangerous tools.

Bill #1
Editorial on S.178 (Senate Version of H.706) by Bob DePino.
The anti-gun politicians are looking for every loophole to push gun control, confiscation, and restriction on lawful use of Article 16. NEVER let your guard down!
