2015-16: Sponsored H.297 (BAD):An act relating to the sale of ivory or rhinoceros horn
H.297 would restrict the ownership and sale of ivory and rhino horn objects already owned by Vermonters.
This will impact valuable collector firearms with ivory inlays or grips, as well as antique pianos, jewelry, and trophies.
ALL ivory will have to be disposed of or confiscated by the state.
Any excuse to attack firearms ownership from EVERY direction at once!

Bill #1
2013-14: Sponsored H.0243 (BAD): Bill makes it a crime for a "person" (not necessarily the gun OWNER) to negligently leave a firearm accessible to a child.
All penalties are felonies, barring said person from possession of firearms as long as they live.

Bill #2
2013-14: Sponsored H.0467 (BAD): Mandates the State notify the National Instant Criminal Background Check System when a person is treated for mental illness, whether hospitalized or not hospitalized, so that the person will now appear as a "Prohibited Person" (ie. felon) and will be forever barred the possession of firearms.
There is currently, no way out of the NICS even if the person is no longer a threat, or found not to be mentally ill.
There is NO provision to EVER remove this prohibition!
This type of law is CONTINUOUSLY updated with new restrictions and clauses.
