I am sorry that you feel that way. I am not supporting any illegal bills.
I have supported charter change proposals to Burlington's charter which were overwhelmingly voted for by the citizens of Burlington. I support their town's local citizens' right to change their city charter just as I supported North Bennington's charter change. I do believe that it is important for citizens of any town to have the right to vote for and adopt changes to their local governing community. With that being said, these Burlington Charter change proposals are in the House Government Operations Committee, where any technical or legal concern will be vetted out and then the committee will decide if they are even going to be brought before the whole assembly for a vote.
Again, I am sorry that you feel that way, but an overwhelming majority of local citizens voted to make these changes for their city and I am cautious about when the State should overrule citizens in a town vote.

Sincerely,
Rachael Fields

HMMMMMM.... "I am cautious about when the State should overrule citizens in a town vote."
You mean you are concerned when the State calls you out for violating the Vermont Constitution, violating the Sportsman's Bill of Rights, and violating the Burlington Town Charter itself?

2015-16: Sponsored H.297 (BAD):An act relating to the sale of ivory or rhinoceros horn
H.297 would restrict the ownership and sale of ivory and rhino horn objects already owned by Vermonters.
This will impact valuable collector firearms with ivory inlays or grips, as well as antique pianos, jewelry, and trophies.
ALL ivory will have to be disposed of or confiscated by the state.
Any excuse to attack firearms ownership from EVERY direction at once!
