2018 Gun Owners of Vermont Candidate Report
MARI CORDES
2nd Amendment Stance: ANTI-GUN
District: Addison 4
(Vote up to 2)
Contest: For State Representative
Party: Democratic

Additional Comments: 2016: Responded "NO" to Gun Sense Vermont when asked if they support Universal Background Checks.
March 14, 2018: March 14 · I support the second amendment as I believe (and courts have determined) it was intended. Part of my childhood included my family's use of rifles for hunting. I respect the Vermont tradition of being able to provide for your family with home food production and hunting. And....
....we need gun reform NOW.
Anti-gun reform activists are dialing Governor Scott incessantly. Their plan is to file a public records request for the phone logs and claim Vermonters don't want gun reform. Call Governor Scott at 802-828-3333 and leave a message telling him you want common sense gun reform, and specifically that you support Senate Bill 221 (gun confiscation from dangerous persons), the amendment to Senate Bill 55 (universal background checks), and House Bill 422 (remove guns from the scene of domestic assaults). I just called, and they asked me to have my friends call too.(WTF?)"
