A NEW YORK man, Aaron Allen, a former state correction officer and combat veteran, who had refused mental health treatment, broke into his ex-girlfriend's home in Danby, VT, and STABBED her.
Allen had surrendered his firearms during his April arrest, so resorted to using a knife in the attempt to kill her.
Her new boyfriend, Michael White, 24, retreived his firearm and shot and killed Allen during the assault.
There was a Relief from Abuse Order in effect at the time.
Had Mr. White not been armed, both he, Heather Thompson and her 18-month-old daughter would have most likely been killed.
The firearm SAVED 3 lives and is now being used AGAINST the good and honest people in Vermont.
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
