Details: Burlington police officers responded to a call from Ruthine "Dolly" Brunette, who said her son was acting irrationally and destroying property. Police arrived at the scene, where Wayne Brunette, 49, aledgedly "confronted" the officers with a "long handled shovel". Since Brunette was not complying with demands of the officers, Officer Ethan Thibault, a 12 year veteran, fired his service weapon at the man multiple times. Mr. Brunette died shortly afterward at Fletcher Allen Health Care. Both officers were uninjured. According to the Burlington Free Press, "The computerized police dispatch log shows it took 2 minutes and 31 seconds between the arrival and shots fired." |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
