Details: Rutland resident, Michael Rutkowski, 93, offered a ride to a 6 foot, 200 pound man with reddish mustache and beard while on his way to the store. In an interview with Vermont Today, Rutkowski said, “For 70 years I told myself not to pick up any hitchhikers, and this is the first time I changed my mind, [t]hat was a bad mistake.” The unknown man drew a pistol and allowed Rutkowski to safely exit the vehicle before driving off. Police have recovered the car, but have not yet found the driver. NOTE: Joseph Marro was detained by police because he matched the description of the carjacker and had a realistic 'pellet gun' on him. He was arrested on several charges of armed robbery in October of 2014. |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
