Details: Police responded to a call about shots fired at a residence on Pinecrest Drive.
Police investigated and determined that Daniel Place, 50, had been assaulted in his home then followed the attacker with his shotgun and fired at him.
Place had facial injuries indicating that he was assaulted.
He was then cited for reckless endangerment for discharging a firearm in a neighborhood.
The attacker was NOT injured.
