Details: In an interesting turn of events, one of Vermont's finest accidently discharges his "semi-automatic rifle" (if it was a civilian, they would call it an ASSAULT RIFLE) in his patrol car.
See the previous Essex incident on 1/25 for the reason why this happened.
Officer Josh Hansell, 29, with only 2 years on the force, accidentally discharged his weapon while clearing it. Ironically, the Williston Police Department was assisting the Essex Police Department at a reckless endangerment incident in Essex when the officer created his own reckless endangerment incident! Officer Hansell remains on active duty while under investigation. ALL citizens are people and can make mistakes (GunSense just blames the civilians). |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
