Details: Bennington police shot Gregory Filo in the lobby of the police station when he drew a knife and made stabbing motions at another person in the lobby. Police shot him when he refused to drop the weapon. Charges against Filo were dropped due to mental illness. The officer was cleared in the shooting.
UPDATE: 9/23/14: a mental health evaluation determined he IS competent enough to stand trial, but it might go that far. (INJURY) |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
