'VT Gun Incident': 6/16/2014 Armed man attempts rob to Rutland store. Clerk refuses to give money; robber threatens clerk with knife; clerk shows robber his gun; robber flees; clerk chases him down the street.

Details: When a robber entered Mac's in Rutland and demanded money at knifepoint, the lone employee produced his legally owned firearm and the robber fled without money. He provided details to the police as a good witness (he did NOT chase the robber down the street as GunSense claims). The store owner, Jennifer Allen, proceded to berate and villify the victim (please search the web for more details). As the story unfolded, many articles across the internet have been written about this incident and the following boycott of all Mac's stores for unfair treatment of employees. Special Newpaper Analysis: WCAX, always anti-gun, truncated the BOTH the initial story to "Armed robbery in Rutland" and "Armed robbery at Rutland gas station", to allude that no aspect of "self defense" was occured. Biased reporting by WCAX. However, the Brattleboro Reformer, the devout ANTI-GUN newpaper did not even post a story about the incident because they do not believe anyone should own guns. NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
