Details: An unnamed Chittenden County resident will face a TSA fine of up to $3,000 for accidentally carrying an UNLOADED .22 caliber Bernardelli pistol in his carry-on baggage at the Burlington International Airport. Burlington Deputy Police Chief, Bruce Bovat, said the man will probably not face criminal charges, "this was a good citizen who made a stupid mistake." Transportation Security Administration provided guidelines for the transportation of guns, including: "Firearms are prohibited in carry-on bags, but can be transported in checked bags if they are unloaded, properly packed and declared to the airline." |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
