| GunSense Accuracy Level: | False Claim: Not a firearm incident |
| | Date: 8/19/2014 | Town: Middlebury |
| VT Resident?: Unknown | Law Abiding Citizen Prior to Incident: No |
| Event Type: Theft | Firearm Crime: NONE |
| Injury Type: NONE |
|
| Actual Gun Use: NO | Gun Actually Fired: NO |
| Domestic Violence: No | Suicide: NO |
Details: The entry: "Responded to a report of a firearm being stolen from a Butternut Ridge Drive home on Aug. 19." However, an Addison Independent article from September 5, states that the address was subject to a search warrant where officers seized "items of interest relevant to the investigation." Besides, why is a simple "theft" of a firearm a "gun incident" again? Oh, ya, SENSATIONALISM. |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
