As usual, Gun Sense ignores the part about a WOMAN being the shooter in a DOUBLE Domestic Violence Homicide.
The bill H.735 was proposed and pushed to protect WOMEN from MEN in domestic violence incidents.
Mr. Willey's unfortunate demise exemplifies the fact that this bill will NEVER do what it was intended to do.
Domestic violence is NOT always against women like Sarah Kenney made it out to appear in Montpelier testimony.
In Vermont, it is now about 50/50.
Stay classy Gun Sense in your demonization of men.
UPDATE 4/26/17: The defense attorney, Kevin A. Lumpkin, of Sheehey Furlong & Behm, said his team still was not planning to use diminished capacity as defense. "Our position is that Ms. O'Neill did not commit this crime," said Lumpkin...UPDATE 6/29/17: A jury of her peers found Robin O'Neill GUILTY of aggravated murder after deliberating NINE hours.
According to PEOPLE.com, "Using three handguns, O’Neill shot Jamis three times in the head before turning her attention to Steven, who was shot seven times in the head, once in the chest, and four times in the groin."
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
