Details: Two Burlington police officers (Detective Cpl. Ric Volp and Sgt. Brian Labarge) shot 20 year old James Hemingway in Colchester after he alegedly threatened to kill himself (with a rifle) on social media.
"Burlington officers fired multiple rounds from their patrol rifles, hitting Hemingway twice"

When the anti-gun media talks about gun owners, it's an "assault rifle"... when they talk about the police it's a "patrol rifle!"
MENTAL HEALTH is again, the primary cause.
Hemingway was charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault (but it warranted being shot twice?).
BPD Chief del Pozo stated "Officers had to make a judgment as to whether to contain a threat or to let it continue to escalate, and they chose to contain it."
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
