Laskes responded to Auburn Street near the Post Office for a reported motor vehicle accident. While investigating the accident, officers observed a live shotgun cartridge inside one of the involved vehicles. The operator of the vehicle, Daniel Carver, was unable to produce a License to Carry a Firearm when asked. Further investigation at the scene revealed that Mr. Carver was also in possession of a loaded Taurus .357 caliber revolver. Daniel Carver, 34, of Barre, VT was arrested without incident and will be charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition without a License." This is an important lesson in travelling out-of-state! The whole incident began by the officer seeing ONE SHOTGUN SHELL in the car! A word to the wise, STAY OUT OF MASSACHUSETTS if you are sloppy with your firearms and ammunition! |
