Details: Per NIXEL: On 18 December 2015 at approximately 01:39am the Burlington Police Department received a call from an employee at the Zen Lounge (165 Church Street) who reported that an intoxicated male with a gun was threatening to shoot people after he was kicked out of the establishment. Burlington Police Officers responded and subsequently arrested Victor Anghelache, 30, near the intersection of Church Street and College Street. Anghelache was found to be in possession of a loaded .45 caliber hand gun in his waistband. The crime of Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (Title 13 VSA§ 1024 (a5) shall be imprisonment for not more than five years or fined not more than $5,000.00, or both. Seems the Zen Lounge needs some investigation by the Liquor Licencing Board. |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
