Details: Maplefield's gas station on Williston Road in South Burlington was robbed after midnight Saturday.
Two males entered the store and approached the employee while brandishing a handgun.
They forced the employee behind the counter and made him open the cash register. They took cash and fled.
Burlington police later spotted a car driving with its headlights off on East Avenue. Police say the three men inside matched the descriptions of the suspects, and the clothing on two of them matched the surveillance video from the gas station.
Per the Burlington Free Press, "18-year-old Mohamed Mubarak and 19-year-old Jilani Musa of Burlington and a 15-year-old male were charged with assault and robbery. The two adults are behind bars on $100,000 bail, and the 15-year-old was turned over to the Department for Children and Families."
NOTE: In 2010, 5th grader Mohamed Mubarak was interviewed in 2010, the product of the failed Burlington Magnet School program, six years later he is robbing convenience stores at gunpoint. Did he learn that in school? |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
