Details: Jason Pramataris, 40, of Springfield was arrested and charged with two felony counts of second-degree aggravated domestic assault and one count of first-degree aggravated domestic assault after family members told police Pramataris made threats to kill himself and recently threatened his wife with the same gun. The three charges stem from separate incidents that took place over the past two weeks.
Pramataris is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a previous domestic violence conviction.
Police seized an unloaded .38-caliber revolver that was sitting on the dining room table next to a box of 50 bullets (the police were called and a felon just left his gun on the table for them to find?).
Pramataris was "recently diagnosed as being bipolar and having borderline personality disorder” his wife claimed. Sgt. Gregory Molgano wrote in an affidavit, “He indicated that he might threaten (to harm himself) but wouldn’t do anything because he has too much to (lose). He told me that he was fine and wanted to go to bed.” Per the Rutland Herald, Pramataris was released on pretrial conditions including not possessing deadly weapons and staying 300 feet from his wife and he faces a potential maximum of 25 years in jail if convicted. |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
