Details: A suicidal man, killed himself after speaking to Plainfield Police officers at his home in East Montpelier. No other details are available, but WCAX is calling it a "standoff." Why is every suicide situation called a standoff? The police are NOT equipped for mental health interventions, they are equipped for LAW ENFORCEMENT. Resolving a mental health situation with crime enforcement techniques never ends well for the subject. |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
