Details: Here we have the latest example of the restriction of the 1st Amendment. WORDS now constitute a "crime." Not ACTIONS mind you, WORDS. This NEW LAW S.154 (Act 162) "CRIMINAL THREATENING" passed in 2016, to give politicians and law enforcement the ability to try and convict Vermonters of using threatening speech as if it was an ACTUAL assault! Concidering WHEN the threats were made, I am not sure how this person can be charged under the NEW LAW since the law takes effect JULY 1st! H.818 (an act related to stalking) was included in S.154 before it's passage behind closed doors by the Supermajority. This includes a new section on “Protected professional” status that was NOT in Vermont Statute for 2016. |
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it. |
