Details: A homeless man, Max Pickle, 30, living in an abandoned house in Barton, was arrested for threatening to shoot a group of people and firing a .45 caliber handgun. Police say the public was no threat to the public as this was an isolated incident. Some local schools went into lock-down mode as a feel-good precaution even though the schools were not the target. The Orleans County Sheriff and the U.S. Border Patrol, a K-9 unit and a helicopter searching the area. Pickle was taken into custody for mental health screening and is facing criminal charges of unlawful trespass and reckless endangerment. He may face an additional charge for unlawful discharge of a firearm. Lieutenant Walter Smith, of the Vermont State Police, stated that Pickle "made threats that he was looking for some bath salts." NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
