Details: An armed home invasion by Dhmir Simmons, 24, from Philadelphia PA, caused the Burlington police Department to lock down an entire neighborhood around the Cayuga Court apartments.
According to WCAX, "Police were first called to the apartment around 2 a.m. when they say Simmons and another man got into a fight. Police say Simmons threatened the man with a gun and then pistol-whipped him, and the victim had to be taken to the hospital."
WCAX also stated "Tensions mounted in the streets between onlookers a combination of relatives of the armed suspect and neighbors."
Apparently, Simmons has conditions of release that prohibit him from being at the apartment, or in contact with one of the persons there. See how well restraining orders work when criminals ignore them?
When arrested, with 2 other Philadelphia residents, Simmons had crack cocaine on him.
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
