Details: Jesse Beshaw, 29, of Winooski, was shot by police on Friday 9/16/16.
The shooting happened behind O’Brien’s Community Center on Malletts Bay Avenue around 4:30 p.m.
Mr. Beshaw was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses say half a dozen gunshots were heard, and the incident began after two young men had gotten into a fight.
Beshaw had a criminal history and was know by law enforcement to carry a firearm.
Vermont State Police released a statement that the victim was unarmed (advancing towards the officer with his hand behind his back).
Released body-cam footage verifies this.
The officer was justified in the shooting of Beshaw.
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
