VIOLATION: Found Firearm (update)
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On 12/28/16, the Vermont State Police investigated an incident involving a recovered firearm from a mailbox on US Route 302 in Newbury, VT. On 12/29/16, Troopers were able to identify the owner of the firearm which was allegedly stolen sometime last week from a residence in Groton, VT. No further assistance is needed from the public on trying to identify the owner of the firearm. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with any information on the theft of the firearm is asked to contact either Trp. Shaffer or Trp. Ostrout at the Vermont State Police at 802-222-4680. The firearm was a .22 caliber revolver. |
