SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 19, 2017 at approximately 0930 Vermont State

Police performed a motor vehicle stop in response to a burglary investigation with assistance from Berlin PD and Washington County Sheriff's Department.

Troopers were able to recover stolen firearms from the vehicle which led to the arrest of Patrick McCullough for Burglary and Grand Larceny. The subsequent investigation led to multiple search warrants in the town of Northfield. With the assistance of Northfield PD, two additional stolen firearms were recovered. The investigation also lead to the arrest of Daisey Lumbra (25) and Douglas Duquette (26) on outstanding arrest warrants. As a result of the investigation James Capron (26) was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of stolen property and possession of a weapon while committing a felony. The investigation is ongoing and Troopers are looking for additional information on these individuals and this incident as additional charges may be filed. FOUR (4) STOLEN FIREARMS RECOVERED.
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
