SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On February 1, 2017, at approximately 1014 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police, Rutland Barracks were notified of an altercation involving a firearm being discharged which took place on US Route 7 in Wallingford, Vermont. Subsequent investigation revealed during the altercation, Christopher Phillips, discharged his 9mm firearm in the direction of US Route 7 and the other party involved. Investigation also revealed that the other party involved, Terry Burdick, engaged in fighting or in violent, tumultuous, or threatening behavior. Phillips was issued a citation for Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Burdick was issued a citation for Aggravated Disorderly Conduct. Both parties were released to appear before the Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division at a later time and date.
