Details: PRESS RELEASE CASE#: 17A400994 RANK/TROOPER FULL NAME: Dave Powers STATION: Saint Johnsbury DATE/TIME: 02/22/17 @ 1729 hours LOCATION: Mosquitoville Road; Barnet, VT VIOLATION: Burglary, Felony Unlawful Mischief, Unlawful Trespass, Felony Possession of Stolen Property. ACCUSED: Christopher Darling AGE: 26 CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Ryegate, VT VICTIM: Susanne Lesnik-Emas AGE: 55 CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Philadelphia, PA SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 02/22/17 at 1729 hours Troopers received a report of a burglary at the aforementioned address. En Route to the call, Troopers located Christopher Darling walking along the side of the road a short distance from the burglarized residence carrying a firearm and fireworks. Further investigation revealed that Darling had burglarized the residence, gaining entry by kicking in the front door. Darling was placed at the scene by shoeprints obtained by the Troopers who responded to the call. It was determined that Darling took a firearm and fireworks which are valued at $700. Darling while inside the residence caused approximately $1,960 worth of damage by cutting the walls with what appeared to be a hunting knife as well as kicking the door in. Darling was arrested and processed for Burglary, Felony Unlawful Mischief, Unlawful Trespass, Felony Possession of Stolen Property. COURT ACTION: Y COURT DATE: 04/24/17 COURT: Caledonia |
