DATE/TIME: 3/29/17 between 9:30 and 10:00 PM INCIDENT LOCATION: Hartland VT VIOLATION: Noise Disturbance
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On the evening of 3/29/17 Vermont State Police received multiple calls regarding a loud explosion followed by gunfire in the Town of Hartland. Troopers have spoken to several residents and determined that between 9:30 and 10:00 PM a loud explosion was heard followed by what sounded like gunfire. Attempts to locate the source of the explosion or gunfire have led to the Hartland Hill to Brownsville Rd area. Based on the available information it is believed that someone with a private gun range may have been using a readily available impact based target explosive known generically as Tannerite. Anyone with information on the source of the explosion or gunfire is asked to contact the Vermont State Police, Royalton Barracks at 802-234-9933. |
