SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
On May 30th, 2017 at 1937 hours members of the Vermont State Police responded to a residence on Nichols Road in Fairfax for the report of an accidental discharge resulting in a gunshot wound. Upon their arrival, Troopers located the victim within his residence. The injuries were determined to be non-life threatening, and the victim was transported to Northwest Medical Center by Fairfax Rescue. There is no immediate danger to the public at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
UPDATE – The victim in this case is identified as Jesse Littlefield, age 37, of Fairfax. Preliminary investigation by Detective Troopers with the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), indicates that this incident is likely the result of an accidental discharge of the firearm while cleaning. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation at this time.
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
