Details: Court Case for 2017 Crime: Adam D. Whitman, 26, plead 'Not Guilty' in U.S. District Court in Burlington on 1/23/19. Whitman was arrested in North Adams, MA earlier in the week. Whitman had a pending federal arrest warrant. A. On 1/23/17, Whitman supposedly made a "false statement" while purchasing a Smith & Wesson 9-mm pistol from Lost Target Shooting Supplies in Pownal. The firearm was actually being purchased for a third person. B. On 1/25/17 & 1/26/17, Whitman repeated this process to purchase a Tarus 9mm and a Ruger .380 at the Bennington Trading Post. According to the Bennington Banner: "Also in federal court in Burlington on Thursday was a sixth Franklin County resident implicated in buying guns in exchange for drugs. Two Boston men, both members of the Latin Kings gang, used the six Franklin County residents to obtain guns, court records show. Members of the Latin Kings would order certain kinds of guns that were brought back to Boston and later seized by police during shootings." So GANGS have infiltrated Vermont and we see no anti-gang legislation. Drugs are rampant in Vermont and we see bills to LEGALIZE drugs. That will reduce crime by not prosecuting it as such. And the anti-gunners cheer their victories.
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
