Details: Burlington once again is the location of the latest drug/gang shootout. Three (3) black males and a black female were involved, with the three black men all shooting handguns at each other. The early morning hours before dawn rocked Simon’s Mobil after the males escalated an argument into gunfire. The first male appeared to fire in self-defense after being assaulted by the second. Both the second and third fired as the first man ran away on foot. Two men and the woman were arrested and police recovered a "large amount" of crack cocaine According to the Burlington PD public release on 8/6/2021: "Detectives have confirmed the third suspect to be Walter Hamiid Jones, 25. Mr. Jones is a documented Bloods gang member out of Massachusetts. There is a warrant for his arrest on charges of aggravated assault. A review of Mr. Jones’s criminal history shows an extensive violent history in Massachusetts, including 14 convictions, among them home invasion, armed robberies with a handgun, assaults with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, and cocaine distribution. Mr. Jones has pending charges in Massachusetts for cocaine trafficking, heroin trafficking, charges of using a firearm in a felony, possession of a large-capacity firearm, and possession of a firearm without a permit." Imagine that, multiple shootings ALL RELATED to criminal drug gangs FROM OUT-OF-STATE...
NO law will prevent crime. No law will stop criminals from getting guns. Gun Control only effects the law-abiding citizen and the politicians know it.
