8/22/18: TNR: [here's the snow job Chuckie told True North before we dug up his February commentary below!] What are your views on gun rights in Vermont and the nation? Laramie: I own guns myself. I own a couple rifles and a shotgun and a pistol, and I’m gonna keep those. The Second Amendment — I know not one word can be changed without 38 states agreeing to it, and I know that’s never gonna happen. So, I mean, it’s never going away — it’s impossible. … I’m not out to take anybody’s guns. I wouldn’t bring up any legislation to take away anybody’s guns or anything like that. If somebody has an AR-15, as far as I’m concerned they can keep their AR-15. Source #1

2/24/18: "Guns kill people" Commentary by Charles Laramie. It’s my view that guns don’t keep us safe. They kill us. I know the old argument: Guns don’t kill people, people kill people. It’s the old argument for people who are afraid the government is going to take away their guns. So why is it that people want magazines for their guns that can fire more than they would be able to legally use while hunting? I can’t for the life of me understand why so many Americans still feel they have a right to buy and use any type of weapon they want and claim the Second Amendment. Source #2
