Bill #6

2014 Gun Bills:
2013-14: Sponsored H.0124 (BAD): (MAGAZINE BAN) Prohibit the manufacture, possession, or transfer of large capacity ammunition feeding devices (making existing owners felons because magazines do not have date stamps on them).
Once the original owner dies, the firearm must be turned over to the autorities or the new owner will be in possession of an illegal firearm, and now a felon.
Mandating "safety" courses for ALL persons who carry concealed (precursor to full licensing, as only "approved" persons can carry concealed, any other person is a criminal).
Labeling citizens as "approved" to carry is in DIRECT VIOLATION of Article 16 of the Vermont Consitution.
There is NO restriction on "who" can carry firearms in Vermont.
Vermont is the ORIGINAL "Constitutional Carry" State, and it has served us well for over 200 years!

Bill #7
2013-14: Sponsored H.0125 (BAD): Creates a state-run facility to store confiscated firearms before destruction, creates a privately run safety training program (to fulfill the licensing of persons carrying firearms in H.124), allows the private center for Officer and State officials to be used as an indoor firing range.

Bill #10
8/4/2016: Attended Gun Sense VT Rally for Background Checks, Thursday, Aug 4 at 5 p.m.
Source #1
8/5/2016: Lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Kesha Ram suggested they “not stop at universal background checks” but keep going for more.
“We have laws on our books that are supposed to protect victims of domestic violence, that are supposed to keep guns out of the wrong hands, that are still not being enforced in this state.”

Source #2
7/25/16: On gun rights, all three Democrats said they would support universal background checks. Smith and Ram added they would ban guns in bars and take away guns of people accused of domestic violence — policies that rankle gun owners and have failed to move beyond Burlington’s failed charter changes.
Zuckerman suggested anything is on the table, including regulation of semi-automatic magazine capacity. However, he said none of his gun control views would stop a law-abiding Vermonter buy or shoot firearms.
“None of those things stop any U.S. or Vermont citizen from getting the gun they want if they don’t have that criminal background record,” Zuckerman said.

7/22/2016: Ram whose worked several years as a social worker, says she's concerned about domestic and gun violence in the state.
"Our Vermont families and communities are facing a lack of safety when they walk out the door or when they think about about intruders in their homes."
She wants to start a statewide conversation about guns and public safety.
"I agree with the majority of gun owners in Vermont that we need universal background checks..."

No, all the anti-gun campaigns are based on a biased VPR poll that only asked the YOUNGEST MALES in each home if they wanted gun control!
