Additional Comments: Gov. Phil Scott has chosen former Vermont Retail and Grocers Association President Jim Harrison to fill the remainder of former Republican Rep. Job Tate’s term in the Vermont House.
Harrison will serve the remainder of Tate’s term and said he plans to run in 2018 as a Republican to retain the seat.
Jim voted AGAINST S.55.

Thank you for sending me your candidate survey. Understanding that it is difficult to know ahead of time all the nuances of particular legislation that might come before the general assembly, I have decided to not complete campaign surveys this year. In regards to firearms, I stand by the votes I took this past year, which included opposing S.55, although there were a few parts of the bill that I did support, such as the ban on bump stocks.
