2015-2016 Gun Bills:
Bill #3: 2015-2016: SPONSORED H.297 (BAD):An act relating to the sale of ivory or rhinoceros horn
H.297 would restrict the ownership and sale of ivory and rhino horn objects already owned by Vermonters.
This will impact valuable collector firearms with ivory inlays or grips, as well as antique pianos, jewelry, and trophies.
ALL ivory will have to be disposed of or confiscated by the state.
Several on our side where suckered into sponsoring this "reasonable" regulation.
Any excuse to attack firearms ownership from EVERY direction at once!

Bill #2: 2015-2016: Voted FOR S.141 (Act 14) Gun Control Bill (BAD)
http://legislature.vermont.gov/bill/status/2016/S.141

2013-2014 Gun Bills:
Bill #1: 2013-2014: Sponsored H.706 (BAD): Prohibiting the possession of firearms and other dangerous or deadly weapons on any school property, which includes knives, baseball bats, metal rods, axes, etc, would have TWO MAJOR EFFECTS:
1. The right of every Vermonter to carry a firearm or other weapon for self defense will be outlawed.
Parents could not pick up or drop off their children at school, administrators and teachers will likewise be prohibited from travelling to and from their job while protected.
NO ONE WILL BE ARMED WHEN THE NEXT KILLER WALKS BY THE "GUN-FREE ZONE" SIGN...
This is a VERY BAD procident to set.
2. Hunting in the State of Vermont will virtually cease.
THOUSANDS of acres of hunting land are "owned" by schools and colleges in Vermont.
Travelling by, or near a school will become illegal for any road crews that carry dangerous tools.
